The Ragdoll is a large cat, with a long and powerful body, strong bone structure and well-developed musculature. Its ears are medium-sized, wide at the base and slightly rounded at the tips. Its eyes are large, oval and always blue, with the most intense sought-after colour possible.
Kittens are born completely white, then their colours and patterns gradually develop over time. The Ragdoll is a late-maturing breed and generally reaches its full development by the age of 4.
Weight typically ranges from 6 to 8 kg for males and 4 to 6 kg for females.
The Ragdoll is particularly appreciated for its gentle, calm and tolerant temperament. It generally gets along very well with children, adults and other pets.
Intelligent, playful and very close to humans, it enjoys participating in family life and staying close to its family in daily activities.

– seal (RAPADURA),
– blue (ULRICH) : dilution of seal
– red
– cream (dilution of red) (THAIS)
– tortie (NEMU) : only the females. It is the presence of the seal and the red or the blue and the cream
– chocolate (SHÉHÉRAZADE) : recent colours
– lilac (UME) (dilution of chocolate) often faint seal were taken for chocolates
The main markings
– bicolour (URSULA): inverted white, white paws,
– high-mitted : resembles the bicolour. The difference is genetic.
– gloved, with or without flame : chin, tips of the front paws white and white boots at
the back (RAPADURA) without flame & (SHÉHÉRAZADE) with flame,
– colour-point (SHALIMAR) : more pronounced colour points (face, paws and tail)
– tabby and lynx (MALIKA) : pattern of stripes on the coat
– seal torbie (AMBRE) : mix of tabby and tortie (seal/red)
– blue torbie (THAÏS) : mix of tabby and tortie (blue/cream)
